Journey of building a mobile app - Step one

We know a start-up that failed because it spent all its money trying to build an app.

The app wasn’t even central to the business. But the founders convinced themselves they had to have it. Boom!

We talked to another start-up that had massive skill gaps in their team. But they opted for a big American no-code platform because it has a slick user-interface.

And notoriously bad support…

We also heard about the 10% per cent trap. How no-code platforms sucker you in to building apps on them, then leave you stranded when you complete some hard, but critical, task - see our article on LinkedIn here - https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7222516981667663872/

Usually it is connecting a vital API on which your whole business runs. You are left 90% of the way there, with nowhere to go.

So, we have decided to create a special offer, which we will support while we can. We will validate your app idea for free, no commitment.

It’s not a secret sales trap. It’s not a pitch, it’s an interview.

We want to identify what is the really hard thing you want to do that could derail your project. What could be your 10% trap.

And we want to know what it is about your idea and your team, that can also make this project fail. Why is this a bad idea? Why is this the wrong team to deliver it?

By being objective and critical we can help you find a path to success. We can usually see very quickly the 90% of an app that is easy to create and support. And the 10% that needs investigating before proceeding.

What we get out of it is essential R&D. What common obstacles do people face so we can make our platform, Reptile, better.

What support services do people most need to strengthen their team so that we can gather the right community and partners to support them.

By answering these questions you help us to help you.

We hate it when good founders and companies get misled. So let’s talk and we will definitely both learn something.

And maybe it will lead to us making something amazing together…
